This policy explains what personal information Tax and Tech India ("we", "us") collects through taxandtechindia.com and our client portal, why we collect it and how you can control it. We follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable Indian law.

What we collect
- Enquiry form: your name, phone or WhatsApp number, email address (optional), the service you are interested in, your message and the page you sent it from.
- Email updates: if you subscribe to GST due date reminders and new articles, your email address and whether you confirmed or unsubscribed.
- Client portal: for clients we work with, login details and the documents, reports and messages shared with us to do the work.
- "Helpful" button: only a count per article. Your browser remembers that you tapped it; we do not store who you are.
- Visit statistics: pages viewed, approximate country, browser and device type, and the website you came from. We cannot identify you from these.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote.
- To do the accounting, tax, compliance or technology work you engage us for, including reminders about documents and due dates.
- To send the email updates you subscribed to. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To understand which pages and advertisements are useful, and to improve the website.
- To meet our legal obligations, for example keeping records required by tax law.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers below and where the law requires it.
Service providers we use
- Cloudflare hosts the website and provides cookie-free visit statistics.
- Supabase stores enquiries, subscriber details and client portal data.
- Resend delivers our emails.
- Google: Google Ads measures visits from our advertisements and may show our ads to people who visited the website (remarketing). Google Maps shows our office location on the Contact page.
These providers process information on our behalf and may store it on servers outside India.
Cookies
- Our own visit statistics use no cookies.
- The Google Ads tag sets cookies to measure ad clicks and enquiries and for remarketing. You can turn off personalised ads at adssettings.google.com, or block cookies in your browser settings.
- The Google Maps map on the Contact page may set Google cookies.
- The client portal and office login use a cookie to keep you signed in.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to respond and follow up. Client records are kept for as long as tax and company law require. Subscriber details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you, correct, update or delete your personal information, or withdraw consent you gave (for example, to email updates). Email info@taxandtechindia.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Client documents are private: each client sees only their own files, and our team sees only what they need for their work.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
